Some browsers have built-in sync options that enable users to sync tabs and bookmarks with the same browsers installed on different devices. However, these built-in sync options are not used much by users who use alternative browsers on different computers. For example, you cannot sync open page tabs in Chrome to Edge by selecting the Sync setting in the main Google browser.
Tab Session Manager is a Chrome, Firefox and Edge extension that enables users to sync saved tab groups between those browsers. This is how you can sync open tabs in one browser with another using Tab Session Manager.
How to add Tab Session Manager to your browser
You can add Tab Session Manager to Chrome, Firefox, and Edge from that extension’s pages on the Microsoft websites, Chrome Web Store, and Firefox Browser Add-ons. Click on one of the Tab Session Manager links listed below to open the download page for your browser. Then press add to or Gets buttons to extend those pages.
You can also add Google Chrome extensions to files Other Chromium-Based Browsers. Therefore, the Tab Session Manager Chrome extension is compatible with the likes of Opera, Brave, and Vivaldi. Opera has a Chrome extension installer add-on that enables you to install Chrome extensions in that browser.
How to save tab sessions in the browser
When you add Tab Session Manager to a browser, you will first need to save a tab session for sync. A tab session is any number of web pages open in your browser at a given time. To save tab sessions, launch the browser to which you added the Tab Session Manager. Next, open a set of page tabs to save them in the browser.
Next, tap Session Manager tab located on your browser’s URL toolbar. You will need to click on File Accessories A button in Chrome and Edge to select that add-on.
Open tabs will be saved with the name of the selected page in your browser unless you change it. Click in the text box below the extension to enter a different name for the tab session. Then press Memorizes button shown below. The saved notification program will flash green briefly.
You can manually save any number of different page groups using Tab Session Manager. Double-click on any of the saved tab groups listed in the extension to reopen all pages it includes in your browser. When you configure the extension to sync it, you will be able to access and open your saved browsing sessions in other browsers.
How to sync tab sessions between browsers
Tab Session Manager syncs saved tab sessions between browsers by Backup them to Google Drive. For that, you will need a Google account to sync the data. If you do not have such an account, you can set up an account by clicking Create an account On the Google login page.
When setting up an account, you will also need to enable cloud sync in Tab Session Manager as follows:
Open the Tab Session Manager extension before clicking Settings button at the top right of the extension.
select file Save the device name for the session to choose. Once you do that, enter your browser address into a file the device name checkbox, so you can better select your saved tab sessions.
Scroll down to File Enable cloud sync (beta) option on Settings tab.
Click on login with google button and select file Allow Required permissions option. Next, enter the required login details for your Google account.
After completing the above steps, click Allow To grant Google Drive permissions. As an optional step, you can select a file Sync automatically checkbox under Enable cloud sync to choose. Selecting this option will sync sessions automatically.
Once you have followed the above, click Session Manager tab Extension button on the URL toolbar again. Then press Cloud sync The button shown directly below.
You have now synced your browser tab sessions. You will need to repeat all the above steps for another web browser to sync its page tabs. Then you can open all your saved tab sessions within both browsers.
